The Wyoming Gaming Commission has issued a public warning about the increasing prevalence of illegal online gambling platforms offering casino-style games in the state.
While online sports betting and fantasy sports are legal and regulated in Wyoming, real-money online casino gaming – including poker, blackjack, roulette and slot machines – remains prohibited under current state law.
Despite this restriction, a growing number of unlicensed websites and apps continue to target Wyoming residents, some even claiming local legitimacy by registering as Wyoming-based LLCs or displaying Wyoming addresses.

Nicholas Larramendy, Executive Director of the Commission, said: “We want to make it unequivocally clear: no online casino, iGaming, or sweepstakes site is licensed by the Wyoming Gaming Commission and they are all operating illegally in Wyoming.
Larramendy noted that many of the illegal platforms are operated offshore, complicating efforts to enforce state law. While the Commission will pursue action against such sites when possible, its enforcement powers are limited when operators are based outside the United States.
In May 2024, the Fanatics Sportsbook became Wyoming’s 21st licensed online sports wagering operator, further expanding regulated market options.
The Gaming Commission encouraged residents to consult its official website for a list of approved and licensed betting operators.
The Commission said: “Our primary responsibility is to protect the integrity of gaming in Wyoming and safeguard its citizens. We urge anyone with questions about the legality of a particular online gambling site or service to contact our office directly.”
