Global sports platform Fanatics has unveiled its newest promotion, extending its FAIR PLAY player injury protection program for all NFL and NBA games this season. The bonus comes at no extra charge and will protect bets from injury-related disruptions. It also follows Fanatics’ official partnership with the NFL and should help the sportsbook reach even more fans.

The Protection Will Be Active Through Each Game

Fanatics’ FAIR PLAY program will automatically apply to every NFL and NBA bet placed during the current season. It provides additional protection by voiding any bet involving a player does not return to the game due to an injury. This program will remain active throughout the game, giving bettors peace of mind.

Notably, FAIR PLAY applies to various types of wagers. For single bets, players are simply refunded their original stake. For parlays, the additional legs continue as normal, and the reimbursement amount is calculated when the entire parlay is completed. Any bet interrupted by an injury before halftime is voided immediately. Second-half bets are instead credited in FanCash after the game concludes.

Users who receive FanCash can use it through the Fanatics platform and redeem it for bonus bets, merchandize, collectibles, and even event tickets. While Fanatics’ injury protection program launched back in 2024, this is the first time the operator is offering whole-game protection with no extra charge. This also ties to the company’s recent partnership agreement with the NFL.

Fanatics Is Doubling Down on Marketing Spending

In August, the NFL announced that it would add Fanatics as one of its official sportsbook partners. This agreement allows the company to “leverage NFL marks within the sports betting category and promote online and retail sports betting.” Fanatics will also gain access to unique hospitality and VIP experiences, as well as integrations across NFL-owned digital media properties.

Expanding the FAIR PLAY program for NFL wagers means new customers can engage with their favorite teams with one less worry. Fanatics Betting and Gaming president, Sportsbook Ted Moss, said the company has always sought to refine the customer experience and isn’t afraid to introduce bold new features.

This promotion also ties to Fanatics’ broader marketing push. CEO Michael Rubin recently revealed that the company could spend up to $1 billion on advertising its sportsbook in 2027. This increased spending likely aims to bolster the platform’s visibility and market share as it aims to match its primary competitors, DraftKings and FanDuel, and secure sustainable growth.
