The ticket, bought from a BP gas station located at 6751 W. Archer Avenue in Chicago, matched the winning numbers 6, 12, 13, 14, 30, and 42. Abraham, the manager of the store, was the first to comment on the lucky event, arguing that he was thrilled to see this development take place.

“I can’t believe it — it’s so exciting to have a jackpot-winning ticket sold right here at our store. I hope it was one of our regulars,” said Abraham. “I’ve been the manager for nearly 20 years. We sold a $100,000 Lucky Day Lotto ticket a few months ago, so this seems to be our lucky year,” Abraham added, explaining that this has been the largest jackpot won at his store to date.

Of course, there is another reason why the store manager can feel upbeat – the store is going to get a bonus for selling the ticket equal to 1% of the prize’s value. In this case, the store is looking at an excellent $74,000 bonus.

“We’re excited to see this kind of win happen right here in our community. You never know when a stop at your neighborhood gas station might turn into something life-changing,” Abrahm added.

Now, this is not the only large jackpot from the game this year, with two previous prizes topping this number.  Among those are the $11.6 million payout from a ticket sold at a True North in Bartlett on January 24 and a $10.25 million payout from a Tony’s Fresh Market in Chicago for the August 1 drawing.
